Reliable Replenishment for Recurring and Auto-Ship Orders: Keeping the Recurring SKU In Stock

Updated October 2026

You know which subscribers are due for a refill, and when. We plan each recurring SKU's stock from that schedule, keep a buffer sized to it and warn you before the shelf runs low, so scheduled orders keep shipping on time.

Reliable replenishment means a recurring or auto-ship SKU is on the shelf every time one of its scheduled orders comes due. Auto-ship demand is known in advance. We forecast each SKU from the subscribers due to renew and size its buffer stock to that schedule. Then we alert you before it runs low, while there is still time to reorder.

Why it matters

What an empty shelf does to an auto-ship customer

When a one-time buyer finds a pet product out of stock, they wait, choose something else or come back later. An auto-ship customer made that choice once for every cycle. Your customer expects the same bag of food or tub of supplement to turn up on schedule, and the dog or cat waiting on it still needs feeding if the order slips.

If the recurring SKU isn't on the shelf on the day its order is due, you lose more than one sale. The subscriber now has a reason to cancel the whole standing order and buy from someone whose product actually arrives. An empty bin on a fast-selling refill SKU is one of the quickest ways to lose the recurring revenue you paid to win.

A clean pick and a fast shipment don't help if the unit was never there to pick. The work starts a step earlier, with the right quantity of each recurring SKU in place on the day its scheduled orders come due. We plan for that on every recurring SKU we ship for pet brands, and our pet products fulfillment overview covers the rest of our work for them.
